Since the semester break, Canteen 1 at the Nanyang Technological University has been renovated and the stalls had been changed. Best food stalls are the "Kaneda Japanese Cuisine" and "Hong Jing Yuan". The drink stall operator is abit rude. But the nice coffee and toast makes up for the lack in service. This canteen's must try food are the Japanese Chicken Curry Katsu by the "Kaneda Japanese Cuisine" stall, and Butter Toast Set by the "Coffee Milk Tea Toast Noodle" drink stall. Warning: don't order Tea Peng from the drink stall because its ridiculously priced at 2.20 because it comes with ice-cream. They don't serve Tea Peng without Ice-cream. Solution? Just get hot tea and order ice cubes from the stall beside it secretly.
